Love Song

I'm so hooked to a certain Mr. Khalil Fong. No, he is NOT a local singer/artiste/whatchumicallit. He is one up-and-coming HK R&B singer that the media dubbed him the "Jay Chou of HK". He spots a super doofus looking glasses (which will be in my next shopping list tho' I shoulda got one when I bot ad his in BKK) and from his blog, I think he is super talented.

I'm seriously so hooked to 'Love Song' since I heard it over at Channel V last night.

Perfect Valentine's song? You bet .... Erm, yeah, the softer side of me

"Love song, love song ..." *humming*

Most Anticipated Movies of 2008

...these are for the first half of the year.

Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who!

So cute. Haha...

Speed Racer

From the Watchowski brothers famed for the Matrix trilogy. I'm not sure. I think you either love it so much or loathe it so much.

The Dark Knight

This creeps me out esp. after the passing of Heath Ledger recently.

Wanted

What a weird combo - Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy. Still, this is Angie kicking ass and shooting the bad boys in heavy machine guns. Who (actress) else can do better?

Sex in the City

Fans all over the world will be thrilled, if they aren't already. Don't get "carried away", tho cos I feel its just SATC on big screen for the die-hard fans :)

Wall-E

Cutest robot. Ever.

CJ7

Stephen Chow returns. I don't think I can miss this.

And these are the Upcoming highlights of 2008...

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
The Dark Knight
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Wall·E
Iron Man
The Incredible Hulk
Hellboy II: The Golden Army
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Speed Racer
Wolverine
10,000 B.C.
Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay

I design Who?

It was SUPPOSED to be a perfect day today. I had a damn sinful breakfast - nasi lemak biasa tambah telur goreng with kuah sotong. And teh tarik.

fyi, I was not supposed to consume any beverages that contained caffeine (or nicotine :)) because it gives me Anxiety Attack. Yes, it has been confirmed because I did a self-experiement a couple of days before. I went cold-turkey and those two days had been ..... aggravating. Hey! I had to quit coffee, man! It wasnt easy but it proved a point. Just so you know, AA is not something you or we should take it lightly because it can lead to a lot of other illnesses. One such is depression or Bipolar Disorder. An excellent example is Ms. Spears.

But, I digress.

So, it was a perfect day with me doing a lot of planning at work and anticipating for a photo shoot later in the afternoon. Boy, I must admit the photo shoot of me is NOT easy! I was all nerves! Yes, that coming from someone who likes to shoot other people! I was a little self-conscious and the stylist and reporter thought I was DARN stiff! I guess I was damn self-conscious of my zits on my upper lip - yeah, of ALL places, kan? Damn malu, ok.

60 over shots and 25 minutes later, we wrapped up the photo shoot and I sighed with a huge relief! I much prefer interview because I love to talk heheee.... The interview that ensued didn't exactly went so smoothly especially when the reporter asked me this one particular question:

So who is the ultimate Interior Designer that you like? Anyone in this world.

Uh oh. I stumbled for an asnwer because I swear I did not have a favourite. Oprah Winfrey's ID, Nick? That Casa Impian Dude? (Shit I was fucking kidding!) ... she got me there. I really do not have one particular favorite designer. Is that wrong?

I struggled for a while and then I remembered the amazingly talented Muslim lady. She is of course, more famous for her architectural work/designs than that of an Interior Designer.

So I said it. That Muslim lady. I even fucking forgot her name! (the reporter was oh-so-nice-lady that she deserves a treat when the article is out. She said I can email to her later). Ouch.

If you must know, she is none other than Zaha M. Hadid. The ZAHA M. HADID!

You know the funniest thing is, I didn't make that up just so to get over the interview or pretend that I really like architecture or interior design for that matter. I really like Zaha's work except that I totally humiliated myself for forgetting her name (I think it must have been the tea this morning). Her work is an artpiece and she makes forms more fun with functions being the ... O-K I am not going to further embarass myself. I just like her.

I don't have to pretend. I know. The reporter asked Interior Designer. Zaha is a famous architect.

Damn the tea!

RIP: Heath Ledger

I was driving to work this morning and heard a beep on my mobile indicating an incoming message. It was from a friend, C. The content of her sms was that Heath Ledger was found dead at an apartment apparently from drug OD. Another friend's message came in much later which was even more straight to the point - Heath Ledger is Dead. Reporter *roll eyes*

I was shocked, naturally and replied to her that Jake will be distraught. Well, I can't help it but she didn't think it was funny and ascertain me that she was indeed not pulling my legs.

When I started the computer in the office, the first thing I did was to check on the news. Headlines from websites particularly on entertainment news mentioned on the sudden death of this incredibly talented actor whom I admired much since "10 Things I hate about You" and I continued to like him one movie after another with Batman being the latest movie that I've listed as the must-watch movie of 2008 simply because Heath Ledger is in it. Of course, Christian Bale, too.

The buzz created from the latest Batman movie is that Ledger is the "new" Joker in the movie and seeing him with that grin in the cell from pictures posted on the world wide web and of cos, YouTube, gives me enough shiver and convinced me that he will outshine Jack Nicholson.

Alas, before the world could comment on his performance, he had left us abruptly. The movie, however, will become more famous now that he is dead. It's quite unfortunate, really. He will forever be missed by fans and family members.

Here are some images of the life of Heath Ledger - whilst browsing for his photos online, I can't help but noticed that a certain stupid Entertainment Online website put up a photo of Ledger's body all wrapped up in a black plastic bag on a stretcher (thank you Mr. Rainbow for the word :)) and the headline was "Heath Ledger: Life in Pictures". Fuck man! If I'm dead, I wouldnt want to be photographed in that way? Fucking dimwits.

Bangkok Revisited - Part 3

Day 3: It is 2008! We decided to visit the busiest places in Bangkok and that would be the temples. We didnt know the Thais have recently picked up a new belief (I read from their local paper) that on the first day of each new year, they will receive good luck if they visit all 9 temples within a day - that is, the first of January.

I read that only on the 2nd of January and of cos, we were quite lost in translation when we first got to the Grand Palace and then Wat Pao and lost our bearings on Chao Phraya. It was pretty tedious and we were imagining Amazing Race. LOL.

Now. Let's have the pictures speak for itself. I did plenty of potraiture & random people shots *shrugs* Dont ask. I went crazy cos my 1st time in Bkk with my dSLR :)
